Biography

Emily has a broad civil litigation practice with a focus on commercial litigation, administrative law, professional liability proceedings, and class actions. 

From 2020 – 2021, Emily clerked for five justices of the British Columbia Supreme Court, after which she completed her articles with the firm and joined as an associate. Emily’s experiences at the firm include appearing as junior counsel at the British Columbia Supreme Court, the British Columbia Provincial Court, and the Federal Court.  

During law school, Emily received awards for academic excellence and leadership. She also served on the editorial board of the Alberta Law Review, volunteered with low-income legal clinics, and was a teaching assistant for the first-year Legal Research and Writing course. As a lawyer, Emily volunteers with Access Pro Bono’s summary advice program for low and modest-income individuals.   

In her spare time, Emily enjoys downhill and Nordic skiing, hiking, and cycling.
