Biography

Rachel Abrahams has a broad civil litigation practice. Her areas of focus include complex commercial disputes, administrative & constitutional matters, and appellate advocacy.

Rachel has experience advising a broad range of clients, including corporations, government entities, individuals, and public interest organizations. She has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia and in the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

Before joining Dennis Dawson James Aitken, Rachel clerked for two justices of the Court of Appeal for British Columbia and practiced litigation at a leading national law firm.

Rachel obtained her Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, where she received numerous awards in recognition of her excellence in advocacy and academics. During law school, Rachel volunteered as a clinician for the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, providing legal advice and representation to clients who would otherwise be unable to afford legal assistance. She also volunteered for a legal advocacy organization dedicated to supporting women and children affected by violence. Before law school, Rachel earned a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University.
